Leadership Studies

Overview

The Department of Business and Economics offers an interdisciplinary minor in leadership studies, which integrates the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of leadership throughout the various fields of academic study. Recognizing that leadership is a complex process necessary for students to become active in understanding social problems and solutions, the Leadership Studies minor will integrate courses to facilitate examination of leadership theory and principles, ethical issues related to leadership, multicultural perspectives, historical perspectives, social perspectives, and development of leadership competencies.

The minor comprises two required courses and 12 hours of elective courses selected from the courses listed below, in at least three different disciplines.
