You can now multiply the impact of your gift, thanks to the University of Virginia’s Bicentennial Scholars initiative to increase scholarship support. You may make a contribution to an existing Bicentennial scholarship fund that will be matched at 100% or 50% depending on your preference!
Read the descriptions for the scholarships which qualify for the match and determine the criteria that you are most passionate about and designate your gift for that scholarship. Once you decide which matching scholarship fund appeals to you, click the link below to make a gift, click general scholarships and then in the "In honor of" or "In memory of" section indicate the name of the fund you wish to support.
Gifts to the following scholarships are matched at 100%, as long as matching funds are available.
- The Fischer-Elseg-Williams Bicentennial Scholars was established in 2020 by Ann Fischer Williams in honor of her uncle Paul Fischer and her parents Frank Fischer and Rose Elseg Fischer for their remarkable achievements as children of immigrants. The Fund shall provide need-based scholarships to worthy and deserving undergraduate students at UVA Wise.
- The M & M Gilliam CAVS Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 by Marvin and Marcia Gilliam. The Fund will provide scholarships for worthy and deserving students with a preference given to students participating in the College's intercollegiate athletic program.
- The Eva and Jim Gott Bicentennial Scholars Fund was established in 2023 to provide students who are students who are student-athletes participating on the basketball team and the golf team.
- The Napoleon Hill Foundation Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2024 by the Napoleon Hill Foundation. The scholarship will be awarded to undergraduate students who are Napoleon Hill Scholars selected from among all academic disciplines to participate in this prestigious leadership development program. Income from this scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, room, board and an experiential learning opportunity. The experiential learning opportunity will be an option in the future when the Fund is generating sufficient distributions.
- The Napoleon Hill Foundation Keys to Success Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2022 by the Napoleon Hill Foundation. The Fund will provide scholarships to students who have distinguished themselves as leaders, enrolled in Keys to Success or selected for membership in the Napoleon Hills Scholars Program.
- The Rapha Foundation Bicentennial Scholars was established in 2020. The Fund shall provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students attending UVA Wise with preference given to graduates or earned a GED and live in the City of Norton, Wise County or Dickenson County in Virginia.
- The C. Bascom Slemp Experiential Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2019. The Fund will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students at UVA Wise. Preference will be given to students who have been selected to participate in experiential learning opportunities such as undergraduate research, study abroad, field research, and internships/externships.
- The Carl W. Smith Bicentennial Scholars Fund was established in 2017 by Hunter Smith and the Hunter Smith Family Foundation. This scholarship will be awarded to worthy and deserving students eligible for the Wise Scholars Program and the Chancellor’s Scholar Program. The Wise Scholars Program will provide financial support to students from primarily Central and Southwest Virginia with a priority given to first-generation college students, defined as students whose parents have not earned a four-year degree. A limited one-time award may also be made to support approved research, internships or study abroad experiences. The Chancellor’s Scholars Program will provide financial support to college students from Virginia, for STEM-H (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Health Science) students who participate in undergraduate research and study abroad projects and are selected based on merit.
- The Carl W. Smith Bicentennial Scholar-Athlete Scholarship was established in 2017 by Hunter Smith and the Hunter Smith Family Foundation. This scholarship will be awarded to worthy and deserving qualified student athletes who are in good academic standing and who maintain athletic eligibility standards for progress toward earning a degree. The Scholar-Athlete will be athletically competitive and strive to achieve personal growth through communication, accountability, vision, integrity, respect and leadership.
Gifts to the following scholarships are matched at 50%, as long as matching funds are available.
- The Gary F. Adams Tennis Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2021 by Marvin and Marcia Gilliam and provides scholarships to students who meet the need-based criteria with preference giving to students participating in the tennis program.
- The 2020 B. F. Foundation Helping Hands Bicentennial Scholarship will be awarded to male students who are graduates of Buchanan County High Schools or to students from distressed areas of Appalachia as reported by the Appalachian Regional Commission.
- The B.F. Foundation Helping Hand Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 and provides scholarships to students who meet the need-based criteria with preference given to students from Buchanan County and then to students in the designated distressed areas of Appalachia as identified by the Appalachian Regional Commission.
- The Martha A. Carter Bicentennial Fund will be awarded to students who are from far Southwest Virginia (defined as the seven counties and one city closest to the College), especially Wise County, and who have an interest in pursuing a career in the library media area.
- The Alfred and Shirley Wampler Caudill Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2022 by Donald Caudill. The Fund will provide students who are pursuing careers in the entrepreneurial field with experiential learning activities.
- The Daris M. Clifton-Alloy Bicentennial Scholars was established in 2019 by Daris Clifton-Alloy. Scholarship awards will be made to worthy and deserving students with a preference to students graduating from a high school within a 70-mile radius of UVA Wise. A second preference is that scholarships be awarded to students participating in the Stem-H (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Health) Program.
- The James S. Cox & Susan L. Cox and Sheila Cox Combs & Mike Combs Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2021 by James & Susan Cox and Sheila and Mike Combs and provides scholarships to students who meet the need-based criteria with preference given to students majoring in software engineering or mathematics.
- The Katheryn B. and S. Chris Curtis Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2023 to assist those who are members of the Women's Volleyball team that demonstrate academic merit.
- The Daniel Bicentennial Scholars was established in 2017 by Van Daniel to support the scholarly research of students participating in the Fellowships in Natural Sciences (FINS) with preference given to students majoring in Chemistry, then students majoring in the Natural Sciences.
- The Daniel-Lamb Natural Science Bicentennial Scholars was established in 2016 and provides scholarships to students majoring in a natural science discipline with preference given to students majoring in Chemistry.
- The Durham-Rogers Bicentennial Scholars was established in 2017 by Richard S. Durham. This scholarship will benefit students from southwest Virginia with preference for students who participated in athletics, the arts or community service during their high school career.
- The Jerroleen and Lee Elam Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 through the Estate of Lee and Jerroleen Elam. This scholarship will be awarded to graduates of Castlewood High School.
- The Lee and Jerroleen Elam Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 through the Estate of Lee and Jerroleen Elam. The fund shall be used to provide need-based scholarships to worthy and deserving students who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students participating in the men’s and women’s intercollegiate golf programs.
- The Bob & Judy England Golf Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2024 by Robert and Jennifer England. The scholarship will be awarded to students who are participating in intercollegiate golf at UVA Wise and reside within a three-hour radius of the College, which defines the College’s immediate service area.
- The England Brothers Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 by the Nick England Scholarship Foundation and Robert and Jennifer England. Scholarships will be awarded to worthy and deserving students with a preference given to students transferring to the College at Wise from Mountain Empire Community College with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- The England Brothers Golf Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 by Robert and Jennifer England. It will be awarded to students who participate on the men’s intercollegiate golf team at UVA Wise; a second preference is that scholarships be awarded to students who reside within a three-hour radius of the College, which defines the College’s immediate service area.
- The England Family Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 by the Nick England Scholarship Foundation and Robert and Jennifer England. It will be awarded to students from southwest Virginia who are majoring in science.
- The Nick England Foundation Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by the Nick England Foundation and Robert and Jennifer England in honor and memory of their son Nick. This scholarship will be awarded to local high school graduates who exhibit leadership through involvement in the community and through demonstrated commitment to academic pursuit, faith, family, and community service.
- The Nick England Foundation Golf Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 by Robert and Jennifer England. The scholarship will be awarded to students who participate on the men’s intercollegiate golf team at UVA Wise; a second preference is that scholarships be awarded to students who reside within a three-hour radius of the College, which defines the College’s immediate service area.
- The Nick England Golf Bicentennial Scholarship was established in February 2020 by the Nick England Memorial Scholarship Foundation and Robert and Jennifer England in honor and memory of their son Nick. This fund will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students attending UVA Wise with preference given to students participating in the intercollegiate golf program with second preference given to students participating in the intercollegiate golf program who are residents of southwest Virginia.
- The Nick England #LoveDeeper Bicentennial Scholarship was established in February 2020 by the Nick England Memorial Scholarship Foundation and Robert and Jennifer England in honor and memory of their son Nick. This fund will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students attending UVA Wise with preference given to students majoring in the Social Sciences discipline with a second preference given to students majoring in the Social Sciences discipline and residents of southwest Virginia.
- The Robert and Jennifer England Education Bicentennial Scholarship was established in February 2020 by the Nick England Memorial Scholarship Foundation and Robert and Jennifer England. This fund will provide scholarships to worthy and deserving students at UVA Wise with preference given to students in the Education program. Second preference given to students in the Education program who are residents of southwest Virginia. If a master's program in Education is approved in the future, it is the donors' preference that the scholarship be awarded to students enrolled in the graduate program who are residents of southwest Virginia.
- The Christopher D. W. Freeman & Patsy F. Robinson Family Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2022 by Patsy F. Robinson in honor and memory of her brother, Christopher Freeman. The Fund will be used to award scholarships to worthy and deserving students who demonstrate financial need with preference given to students who reside in the footprint of what was the service area of Coeburn High School, now a combined school named Eastside High School.
- The F. Boyd Fowler Helping Hands Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 and will be awarded to male students who are graduates of Buchanan County High Schools or to students from distressed areas of Appalachia as reported by the Appalachian Regional Commission.
- The Gaynell S. Fowler Helping Hands Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 and will be awarded to female students who are graduates of Buchanan County High Schools or to students from distressed areas of Appalachia as reported by the Appalachian Regional Commission.
- The Bill Gatton Foundation Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2019. The fund will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students at UVA Wise with a preference to students from Washington County, Virginia, including the towns of Abingdon, Bristol, Glade Springs, and Saltville.
- The Alison Elizabeth Gibson Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in the fall of 2022 by Sarah Elizabeth Parsons Gibson and George P. Gibson. The fund will go to worthy and deserving students who are residents from Wise County, Virginia.
- The Sarah P. Gibson & George P. Gibson Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2024 by George P. Gibson. It will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled at the College at Wise who demonstrate financial need. It will support students who are residents of the far Southwest Virginia region or Northeast Tennessee region, with a second preference for students residing within a three-hour radius of the College, which is the College’s primary service area.
- The Betty Jones Gilliam Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 by Marvin and Marcia Gilliam. The Fund will provide scholarships to worthy and deserving students with a preference given to students majoring in the Fine Arts (music, art, theatre) who are from Southwest Virginia.
- The Marcia Adams Gilliam Bicentennial Scholars was established in 2017 by Marcia Adams Gilliam, a 1982 alumna of the College, and her husband Marvin. Students participating in Women’s Tennis will be given first preference with students participating in Men’s Tennis given second preference.
- The Pat Gilliam Tennis Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2024 by Richard B. Gilliam, Sr. It will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled at the College at Wise who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship will be awarded to students participating on the women’s tennis team; with a second preference for students participating on the men’s tennis team.
- The Jim and Eva Gott Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by Jim and Eva Gott. This scholarship will be awarded to students who have distinguished themselves as leaders, demonstrate a commitment to community service and show promise for academic success.
- The Phyllis A. & Don M. Green Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by Don M. Green ’61. The Fund shall be used to provide need-based scholarships to worthy and deserving students.
- The Barbara Ann Harris Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2021 and provides scholarships to students who meet the need-based criteria with first preference given to business majors and second preference to graduates of Buchanan or Wise County High Schools.
- The Donna Price Henry Leadership Bicentennial Scholars Fund was established in 2023 to provide students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the College at Wise Office of Financial Aid. The Price-Henry families prefer to assist students who wish to live on campus to better serve in a student leadership capacity.
- The Napoleon Hill Foundation Don Green Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2019 in honor of long-time Executive Director Don Green. The scholarship continues the work of the original Napoleon Hill Foundation Scholarship which was established to encourage students from the Department of Business and Economics to participate in honors studies and engage in business research and internships through special academic papers based upon the application of Hill’s “Keys to Success” philosophy.
- The Napoleon Hill Foundation Charles Johnson Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 in honor of long-serving Board Trustee Chairman Dr. Charlie Johnson. The scholarship continues the work of the original Napoleon Hill Foundation Scholarship which was established to encourage students from the Department of Business and Economics to participate in honors studies and engage in business research and internships through special academic papers based upon the application of Hill’s “Keys to Success” philosophy.
- The Lacrosse Family Legacy Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2023 to provide scholarships to worthy and deserving students who are members of the Women’s Lacrosse program and, as determined by the head lacrosse coach, exemplify dedication in the classroom, passion on the field, and a commitment to excellence, as well as serving the community and being outstanding individuals.
- The Michael “Bert” Lambert Bicentennial Scholarship in Business Fund was established in 2022 by Dustin Lambert in honor and memory of his father, Michael “Bert” Lambert. The Fund will provide scholarships to students pursuing a degree in business or a business-related field.
- The Wayne R. Lane and Linda A. Lane Nursing Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 by Wayne Lane. The scholarship will provide need-based scholarships and will be awarded to students who are enrolled in the nursing program with a preference to students who reside within a three-hour radius of the College at Wise, which defines the College’s immediate service area.
- The Brenda B. Lee and Lewey K. Lee Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by Brenda B. Lee and Lewey K. Lee. The Fund shall be used to provide need-based scholarships to worthy and deserving undergraduate students attending the College at Wise.
- The Luda Angeline Hope Bicentennial Scholars Fund was established by C.H. Bray in 2022 in memory and honor of three generations of women who succeeded despite being told they couldn't. It will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. In an effort to make higher education more accessible, the donor prefers, but does not require, that scholarships be awarded first to students who are non-traditional females.
- The Jim and Jane Hughes Golf Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 by Robert and Jennifer England. The scholarship will be awarded to students who are participating in intercollegiate golf at the College at Wise; a second preference is that scholarships be awarded to students who reside within a three-hour radius of the College, which defines the College at Wise’s immediate service area
- The Joseph S. Matney and Christinia Allen Matney Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2021 by Kate Matney Cardone in honor and memory of her parents and provides scholarships to students who meet the need-based criteria with preference given to graduates of Buchanan County High Schools.
- The Dorothy Couch McReynolds, Jerroleen Couch Elam and Mildred Couch Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by Larry J. McReynolds and the Estate of Lee and Jerroleen Elam. This scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with preference given to students who are residents of Castlewood or Russell County, Virginia.
- The Larry McReynolds Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017. This scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with preference given to students who are residents of Castlewood or Russell County, Virginia.
- The Ralph Wayne Mullins Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2019 and will be awarded based on merit to undergraduate students at UVA Wise with preference given to students from Dickenson County, Virginia.
- The Ralph Wayne Mullins and Mary Allen Mullins Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2021 with preference for scholarships awarded to students from far southwest Virginia [Dickenson County, Buchanan County, Wise County, Lee County, Russell County, Scott County, City of Norton, Virginia].
- The James L. Oleson Napoleon Hill Foundation Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2021 by the Napoleon Hill Foundation and provides scholarships to students who meet the need-based criteria with preference given to students who have been selected for membership in the Napoleon Hill Scholars Program.
- The Napoleon Bonaparte Parsons and Elizabeth Barker Parsons Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2022 by Sarah Elizabeth Parsons and George P. Gibson. The scholarship will be awarded to students who are from Wise, County, Virginia.
- The Rhonda M. and Scott Perkins Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by Rhonda and Scott Perkins. This scholarship will be awarded to students who are graduates of high schools located in Southwest Virginia who are participating in intercollegiate athletics with preference given to students participating in football.
- The Benjamin James Price and Michael Enoch Schimansky Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by Doris J. Price, Richard W. Price and Donna Price Henry in honor of Benjamin James Price and Michael Enoch Schimansky to provide need-based scholarships to worthy and deserving students who demonstrate a financial need.
- The Diane Louise Price Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by Donna Price Henry and Richard and Doris Price in memory of Louise, sister and daughter. Diane graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1971 and was an avid gardener who was an active member of the Long Grove Garden Club while living in Illinois. This scholarship will be awarded to students who live outside of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- The Richard W. and Doris J. Price Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 by Richard and Doris Price. The Fund will be used to provide scholarships to worthy and deserving students who demonstrate financial need.
- The Merry Lu Prior Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by Merry Lu Prior. The income of the Fund shall be used to provide need-based scholarships to worthy and deserving undergraduate students attending the College at Wise. The Prior Fund is forever to be a reminder of the love that Merry Lu felt for the UVA Wise family. She was the wife of the College’s 7th Chancellor, David J. Prior.
- The Jennifer Lockhart Quillen Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2022 by Jennifer Lockhart Quillen and Christopher Quillen. The Fund will provide scholarships to worthy and deserving graduates of Scott County or Dickenson County high schools.
- The Bill and Mary Ramseyer Football Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2021 by Bruce Wasem and provides scholarships to students who meet the need-based criteria with preference given to members of the football program.
- The Jimmy and Sherry Roberson Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 by Jimmy and Sherry Roberson. It will be awarded to students majoring in nursing with preference for nursing students from Wise County.
- The Charles Edwin and Adelaide Showalter Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2019 by E. Lee Showalter. Scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students at UVA Wise with preference given to students who have been admitted to the Teacher Education Program. Second preference is given to students from Wise County.
- The Donna Green Sikorski Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2019 by Don Green in honor of his daughter Donna. The scholarship will be awarded to worthy and deserving students at UVA Wise, based on need.
- The Joe Gary and Lanette Street Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2024 by Joe and Lanette Street. It will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled at the College at Wise who demonstrate financial need. It will be awarded to students who are residents of Buchanan County, with a second preference for students who reside within a three-hour radius of the College at Wise, which defines the College’s immediate service area.
- The Sykes and Alexander Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2024 by Terrence Sykes and William Alexander. It provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students at the College at Wise who demonstrate financial need. It will be awarded to students who are residents of the Appalachian region with priority for students who reside within a three-hour radius of the College at Wise, which defines the College’s immediate service area. Preference will be given to students who are involved in the literary journal, currently known as the Jimson Weed.
- The Snyder Nursing Home Peggy Thompson Short Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2023 by Snyder Nursing Home. The scholarship will be awarded to students who are majoring in Nursing; with preference residents of southern West Virginia or southwest Virginia.
- The Pat H. Stallard & Joseph L. Stallard Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2023 by Pat H. Stallard. The scholarship will be awarded to worthy and deserving undergraduate students who are from far Southwest Virginia.
- The Philip Andrew Stallard Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2019 by Pat and Joe Stallard in honor and memory of their grandson. The Fund will be used to award scholarships to worthy and deserving students who demonstrate financial need.
- The Robert F. Stallard Bicentennial Fellowship in STEM was established in 2019 by Robert and Jeannie Stallard. The Fund will provide fellowship support for undergraduate students at UVA Wise with selection to students participating in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline.
- The Street Bicentennial Scholars Fund was established in 2017 to support students who are residents of Wise County or Buchanan County, Virginia.
- The Eugene K. Street Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 to provide need-based scholarships with first priority to graduates of Buchanan County High Schools; a second preference is that the scholarship be awarded to students from southwest Virginia.
- The H. A. Street Honorary Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2019. The fund will provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students attending UVA Wise with a preference given to students from the distressed areas of Appalachia as identified by the Appalachian Regional Commission who are Reserve Officer Training Corps candidates. Second preference is for students who are planning a career in law.
- The H.A. Street Memorial Pre-Law Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2022 by the B.F. Foundation. The fund will be awarded to Pre-Law students with a priority; a second preference is that scholarships be awarded to students from the designated distressed areas of Appalachia, as identified by the Appalachian Regional Commission.
- The Thomas Family Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 and benefits worthy and deserving students who demonstrate financial need at the College.
- The Thompson Family Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 by Prentice Thompson. The scholarship will be awarded to worthy and deserving students who reside within a three-hour radius of the College at Wise, which defines the College’s immediate service area.
- The Margaret Hix Traynor Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2023 by Andrew Traynor and Pamela Flynn. The scholarship will be awarded to students majoring in education.
- The Dr. Lorraine C. Turner Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 by Wiley A. Turner. The Fund will be used to award scholarships to worthy and deserving students with a preference given to students from Russell County, Virginia.
- The Dr. Lorraine C. Turner and Kara B. Kennedy Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2018 by Wiley A. Turner. The Fund will be used to award scholarships to worthy and deserving students with a preference given to students majoring in nursing.
- The Amelia and Bob VanGundy Bicentennial Scholarship in Earth and Physical Sciences Fund was established in 2022 by Robert and Amelia VanGundy. The Fund will provide scholarships to students of underrepresented populations who are pursuing a degree in the Earth or Physical Sciences.
- The Paul Varson Memorial Bicentennial Scholarship Fund was established in 2023 by Chances Kelly Varson. The Fund will provide scholarships to students who are undergraduate students at the College at Wise. Preference will be given to the most financially deserving students who live within a 3-hour radius of the College at Wise. In addition to Virginia, this includes parts of West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina.
- The Andrew Derrick Vickers “Hope and Courage” Memorial Bicentennial Scholarship was established by Carl and Clara Vickers, in concert with their son’s surviving spouse, Morgan Bobinski, to forever memorialize their son and Morgan’s loving husband. It is the Donors’ preference that scholarships be awarded to students who are currently undergoing treatment for cancer or who are a survivor of a childhood cancer. The scholarship can be used in any academic field.
- The Eddie Watson and Debra Dickerson Watson Bicentennial Scholarship was established by Eddie and Debra Watson. The fund will be awarded to need-based undergraduate and graduate students who are participating on an intercollegiate athletic team. Preference will be given to students from Lee or Dickenson counties.
- The UVA Wise Bicentennial Scholarship was established in 2017 by the Alumni Association Board of Directors, College Board, and Foundation Board of Directors. The Fund shall provide need-based scholarships to worthy and deserving students.
- The Danny E. Wilson Bicentennial Scholarship was established by Danny E. Wilson, a local entrepreneur. The income from the Fund shall be used to provide scholarships for students who demonstrate need. Preference will be given to students native to Dickenson County and Wise County, Virginia. The scholarship shall be renewable.
