Maj (R) Marc Sandefur was born in Bristol, VA. He graduated from Virginia High School in May 1988. He attended to Lincoln Memorial University, and Graduated in May 1992, 4 Year Letterman for Cross Country.
Enlisted in Army Reserves in April 1988 (11B MOS), Attended Advance Camp summer 1990 (Ft Bragg). Commissioned (Signal Corps) through Carson Newman May 1992, Switch to Chemical Corps in 1998. Company XO, Company CDR, BN S1, Chief of Chemical Training Department, BDE Asst S3, BN XO (ETSU), Built Combat Live Fire Range in 2004 (Ft Leonard Wood) with first ever Night Fire in full black out conditions. Majority of career in Training and retired May 1, 2014 (26 Years).
Started UVA Wise program in Fall of 2009 before coming back down to ETSU. He Started working as a full time employee for the college in July of 2014.
He has one daughter, Alexis Sandefur, and enjoys golf and any activities with his daughter.
