Interested in research, study abroad, foreign language learning, internships, leadership development, civic engagement, self-designed projects, or undergraduate and graduate studies? External sources of funding are available to pay for those types of experiences through internationally and nationally competitive awards, scholarships, and fellowships.
Applying for one of these programs gives you the opportunity to explore your interests, reflect on your experiences, and set goals. It is a process of self-discovery!
These are not quick and easy applications. Some may require several weeks or months to gather materials, write essays, get letters of recommendation, create project proposals, and in some cases, receive a nomination or endorsement by UVA Wise. This period of research and preparation can help you grow as a scholar and a human being.
