Move-In Day
When is Move-In Day?
First-year and/or transfer students:
Move-in for new Spring 2025 students will be Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Students living in Culbertson, McCraray or Still Halls will check in at the lobby of Culbertson Hall. Students living in Asbury, Henson, Martha Randolph, and Thompson Halls will check in at the lobby of Henson Hall.
Returning students:
Residence Halls re-open for the Spring 2025 semester Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 9 a.m. for returning students who lived on campus for the Fall 2024 semester. Asbury and Thompson residents will need to check back in to their apartments must visit Henson Hall to obtain their keys. All other building occupants can access the building with their CAVS CARD.

What should I bring?
Consult the Guide to Campus Living and the Housing Agreement for policies and procedures, as well as approved and prohibited items, room dimensions, etc. See the additional suggestions noted below.

Basic Necessities
Consider packing the following, be sure to check with your roommate to avoid duplicating what you bring.
- Seasonally appropriate clothing
- Sheets (twin, long)
- Raincoat or umbrella
- Clothes hangers
- Toiletries
- Blanket and pillow
- Cleaning supplies
- Storage containers
- Laptop or tablet

- Refrigerator (may not exceed 4 cubic feet)
- Microwave (may not exceed 800 watts)
- Power strip with reset button (no extension cords)
- Coffee pot
- Iron
- Lamp

- Vacuum cleaner
- Electric razor

- Crockpot
- Hair dryer
- Toaster
Where can I park?
Follow the directions of Campus Police when you arrive for Move-In Day. Students and families should unload belongings and then move vehicles to the appropriate parking areas at Greear Gymnasium (for visitors) or the designated lots (for students).
