The Theater Division stages a hilarious story of friendship and revenge during the Rolodex era in their production of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5 The Musical,” set to open Thursday, November 21st.

UVA Wise announced today a historic investment in its students, programs and facilities. The Bill Gatton Foundation gifted the College $11.2 million to establish funds to support multiple key initiatives at UVA Wise.

In the spring of this year, Mike and Debbie Quillen made a $1 million gift to the College. In recognition of their gift, The Quillen Court at the David J. Prior Convocation Center was named. The Quillen’s’ generosity funded many student needs at UVA Wise.

The Stills have given $6.5 million in gifts to UVA Wise, and for that generosity they are being celebrated as the 2024 UVA Wise Benefactors of the Year.

R. Winston Ely has been a part of the UVA Wise community as a student, alumnus and employee. He’s been a key part of the College’s growth and expansion, and now he’s being honored as Volunteer of the Year.

Workshops were conducted by volunteers from state-wide agencies as well as the faculty, staff and students from UVA Wise.

Through a campus-wide effort to push the digital learning envelope further, the College has developed a culture of innovation, which has resulted in UVA Wise being named an Apple Distinguished School (2024-2027) for a second consecutive term.

This two-day event will provide information and resources for employers as well as students seeking employment.

The growth suggests that the College is succeeding against trends noted in statewide and national reports that have implied that small colleges are seeing declining enrollment.
